    For an extremely long time, NyanCraft has not allowed you the use of explosives (they could be used, but would only disappear).
    After testing out what I am about to describe in our test environment, I confirmed it work perfectly fine without any known issues.

    What I propose is that we enable explosions on the server and at the same time combine it with Towny's land regeneration, by doing this we can allow you to blow something up and it will slowly regenerate after a set period of time. Blocks that explode will not drop, therefore it cannot be exploited to "dupe" items.

    I would like the community's opinion on this before actually going through with it, leave a comment and vote in the poll. The poll remains open for 7 days as of this post.

    I actually came in to contact with Townys land regeneration functionality about half hour ago and I think it's pretty cool. This is a definite yes from me as it adds a little more to the server and will encourage players to get in to towns, especially with the prices being hiked (Less new towns). Would it be possible to keep explosions off for Tourists so they can't start leading creepers in to buildings, etc? Not sure how the plugin you're using works.

    Wouldn't matter, the building would start to regenerate itself within x amount of seconds. Also, if it's in a town, there won't be any creepers.

    1. So to understand this correctly, does it regenerate the biome blocks, or does it regenerate an actual building?
    2. Also how will this affect griefing and what griefers can and can't do?
    3. What if I fill up the area affected by an explosion with blocks, it wont regenerate correct?

    But otherwise I think this is a brilliant idea and it can work out pretty well. I like the idea of encouraging players to join towns inside of living in noob town or in the wilderness. Helps players get started faster and easier.

    I think that belongs in mr fish's grammar thread, but I approve of this whole idea as long as it only happens in towns and mayors are able to set regen times in certain areas. :approve:

    The blocks will regenerate, this is just for fun, not for land clearing.

    And to everyone else who wonders how this will work, read the first post properly.

    1. Just blocks, which means anything that was there. Be it a building or a golden penis.
    2. If in wilderness, they will be able to blow up your house, and then watch it repair itself.
    3. No, the blocks that are being replaced is already in memory by the time they start placing stuff, it will regenerate correctly.

    Ok, I think it is a bad idea because there is no use. The point of TNT is to blow stuff up, it doesn't do that, it is pointless. Also, how does blowing up chests work?
