Urgent Resetting the Nether

    The maintenance June 11th will be including Teamspeak updates. This will be done after our minecraft server is done and therefore should be back up and running before I start on teamspeak.

    Monday, the 11th of June I will be taking the server into maintenance mode (I'm starting to think Monday is going to be our official maintenance day..). During this period of time, I am going to be resetting the Nether.

    During one of the latest patches, Minecraft introduced a bug in Nether worlds that was generated prior to the Minecraft forge format. This bug caused light checking to be spammed, essentially lagging the clients.
    By resetting this resource world (we've always treated the Nether as a resource world, and will therefore continue to do so), the client-side lag will disappear. And it will once again be easier to find Nether resources.

    You have as of this post, until the 11th of June to remove all the items you own in the Nether. If they are not removed by the 11th, they will be removed along with the world.

    I am thinking of making people unable to use flymod in the Nether. Would certainly make the prices of Nether resources rise due to the work required to get it.

    Possibly! That might be a good idea, however, for the people who agree with this, they might just resent the fact that they can't use flymod. A very large reason people donate is for flymod, and if they can't use that in the place they want to? Well, donations might start to go down... I trust you to make a good decision :)

    I've seen so many people lag into the two lava flows at the spawn gate and die. It's stinking hilarious.

    Could we have an event if I'm not mistaken there was one for the old nether and people received chain-male armour.
